Vice President, Business Development, Milsoft Utility Solutions

Steve Collier is Vice President of Business Development with Milsoft Utility Solutions in Abilene, Texas. Operating from his office in Austin, Texas, Steve helps Milsoft with business strategy, plans and processes and he directs corporate marketing and business development activities. Steve came to Milsoft from the National Rural Telecommunications Cooperative (NRTC) in Herndon, Virginia where he was Vice President of Business Intelligence. At NRTC he investigated emerging technologies and new business development opportunities for NRTC and its 1,300 rural electric and telecom utility members. Beginning with Systems Planning at Houston Lighting & Power in the early 1970s, Steve has worked as a consultant or executive for energy, telecommunications and information technology companies in the US and abroad. He has degrees in electrical engineering from the University of Houston and Purdue University. Steve writes and speaks regularly on Smart Grid strategies and technologies.
